Save Money And Your Photos With Scan Cafe

January 11th, 2010

Photos are probably some of the most precious artifacts that any of us have. They remind us of people, places, pets, things, and events that were important, fun, and cherished in our lives. Over the years, however, many of our precious pictures get torn, aged, and damaged. In addition, as technology continues to improve, older photos begin to look blurrier and not as clear. That’s because newer technological advances have allowed for more megapixels and higher resolution in photos which means that we are used to seeing photos with more clarity than ever before, making older photos look really outdated. But that’s okay, it’s nothing that Scan Cafe can’t fix! Scan Cafe offers photo scanning, slide scanning, negative scanning and photo restoration so that you can do more with your old pictures that ever before. You can also now create digital versions of your pictures so that you don’t ever have to worry about them getting damaged ever again!

Scan Cafe is reasonably priced which is why we at the Coupon Corporation feel that it is worth mentioning. So scan your old photos at ScanCafe.com and see what a difference they can make for your old photos!

Save On Telescopes

December 10th, 2009

Who knew that telescopes would be making as big of a come back as they are? Well, I didn’t but I am here to tell you that if you are still looking for a great gift idea for someone in your family this Christmas, then consider the gift of a Celestron Telescopes, a Meade telescope, or an Orion telescope. They are great not just for  young boys and girls, but for your husband, your wife, your parents; they’re great for virtually anybody on your list. And now, they come in a variety of shapes, sizes and color to match the likes or the decor of any of your family members and their homes. The other really great thing about telescopes is that you don’t have to spend a lot of money like you used to. You can get a good quality telescope for as little as $100 dollars. Of course, you can spend a lot more than that but a $100 isn’t bad to start with.

Celestron Telescopes, Meade Telescopes, and Orion telescopes are all available through a variety of retailers, but you’ll find the biggest selection and the best prices at The National Geographic Store and the Discovery Channel Store. Both of these stores also run plenty of specials so you could get as mush as 30% off of your very own telescope!

Unique Gift Ideas

December 5th, 2009

Christmas is just under a few weeks away and while there isn’t much time to spare, you still have a second to get all of your gifts together. Shopping can be very hard, especially if you have lots of people on your list. It can be even more difficult if you aren’t sure as to what a particular person on your list really wants or what they like. So, if you are still searching around for the perfect gift idea and can’t seem to come up with anything, do I have the gift idea for you!  A telescope! Telescopes have been around for a while, yet surprisingly, most people do not own one. They are fun to play with and experiment with and are the perfect edition to any home. Celestron Telescopes are awesome and relatively inexpensive. Meade Telescopes are also great, but do come with a higher price tag. Orion also makes quite a few telescopes that are worth taking a look at. Overall, though you, can spend less than $100 on one of these puppies and not break the bank.

If that doesn’t quite whet your appetite then consider something from the National Geographic Store. They sell everything from Terracotta Warriors to photography books that make great stocking stuffers for anyone on your list!

Christmas Time Is Here

December 1st, 2009

Christmas Time is Here! It is arguably the most wonderful time of the year! Starting today, you have 24 days that’s just over 3 weeks to figure out what you are getting for everyone on your list. This year shopping will be a little more challenging just because everyone is going to be shopping on a budget. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t buy gifts, you just have to be more creative as to how you choose to do it. For example, there is nothing wrong with shopping at the dollar store. The dollar store is a great place to find all kinds of treasures for next to nothing; and each one has its own selection of goods that’s different from the next. You might also consider hand made gifts or items from Kodak Gallery that are personal, yet really inexpensive. Calendars for example are great gifts, especially when they are full of pictures of the recipient. 1800 Flowers actually has some groumet baskets and tins that are selling for reasonable prices this year and they would make great inexpensive gifts.

There are also a variety of items available at the Discovery Channel Store, including telescopes, globes, and DVDs that would make and kid or adult happy on Christmas morning. There are a number of items available at the Discovery Channel Store that are less than $19.99 that you can’t get anywhere else. The key this Christmas is being smart and being creative about the way that you shop. Make a budget and stick to it no matter what.

Keeping Thanksgiving Day on a Budget

November 21st, 2009

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and so many of us are beginning to make preparations now to get ready for the big day. However, this recession seems to still be looming around many of our heads. It is no doubt going to be a little bit harder than usual to put food on the table this Thanksgiving, let alone do any holiday decorating. So here are a few tips you can use to keep Thanksgiving on or under budget: First of all, don’t buy a name brand ham. Ham’s can run you $40 or more. While they are good, you can glaze your own ham for less than a 1/10 of the price. All you need is some brown sugar, a little pineapple juice and some water. Next, potatos are cheep, so make side dishes that utilize this staple. Rice is the same way. It’s cheap and can be good when mixed with right ingredients, (i.e. a rice casserole would be great this year). Don’t waste money on plastic ware. Using your own dishes is free and water isn’t expensive, so washing them may be a hassle, but it’s cheaper. 1800 Flowers has great decorations on a budget so us them.

When it comes to beverages, instead of buying sodas, make a punch. A great fruit punch consists of a few packages of Kool Aid, sugar, water, pineapple juice, and 1 liter or 2 of lime soda. Buy the off brand of everything. It tastes just as good and will go much farther than individual cans. In addition, you may want to consider asking people to bring a dish of their own to add to the meal. If everyone chips in, no single person has to feel the burden of the load. So eat cheaper, budget, and get 1800 Flowers, and your Thanksgiving Day Meal is sure to be more cost efficient than ever!
